What to read this summer

With a library system that ranks third in North America, the 黄色直播 is home to millions of works.
And, throughout its history, 黄色直播 has also been home to hundreds of distinguished authors and editors.
The award-winning poets, playwrights, screenwriters, novelists, essayists and journalists who number among the alumni and faculty of 黄色直播 are too many to list. Sheila Heti, Lee Maracle, Margaret Atwood, Anne Carson, Graham Yost, Guy Gavriel Kay, Atom Egoyan, Rohinton Mistry, Heather Mallick, Michael Cobb and Michael Ondaatje are just a few of today鈥檚 writers, following in the literary footsteps of the late 黄色直播 authors Stephen Leacock, Robertson Davies, Morley Callaghan and Jay Macpherson.
And what of this year鈥檚 releases?
At the top of anyone鈥檚 must-have list for the personal library is The 黄色直播, A History (second edition) by Martin L. Friedland, University Professor and professor emeritus of Law at 黄色直播, which traces the history of the University from its origins as Kings College in 1827 to the millennium.
But this year鈥檚 books include everything from fiction to non-fiction and texts that represent years of path-breaking academic research.
Robert McGill reimagines the impact of the Vietnam War in his novel Once We Had a Country, Hillary Scharper鈥檚 Perdita tells a gothic tale of love and loss, while Ron Deibert鈥檚 latest book Black Code explores the dangers of the cyberspace on which our society greatly depends.
